How to accept Bitcoin on Shopify.

You can add Bitcoin to a Shopify store and keep full custody of every payment. With BoreLine Pay the Bitcoin settles straight to your own wallet, never into an account someone else controls, using a hosted payment link alongside Shopify's manual payment method. Here is how it fits together.

How Bitcoin fits into Shopify checkout

Shopify's native checkout is closed to custom crypto gateways, so the clean route is a hosted link.

Rather than fighting the checkout, you enable a manual payment method for Bitcoin and hand the customer a BoreLine hosted payment link. They pay it, and because BoreLine derives the address from your own wallet's ZPUB, the Bitcoin lands directly in a wallet only you control. BoreLine watches the chain and confirms the payment. No custodian ever holds your money.

Setup in three steps

1. Register your wallet. Create a BoreLine account and add the watch-only ZPUB from your hardware wallet. It is the only key BoreLine sees, and it cannot spend.

2. Add Bitcoin as a manual payment option. In Shopify settings, enable a manual payment method named Bitcoin. Generate a BoreLine hosted link per product, or one checkout link, and place it in your additional payment instructions or a custom button.

3. Confirm on the webhook. When the customer pays the link, BoreLine fires a signed webhook and the Bitcoin is already in your wallet. Mark the Shopify order as paid and fulfil it as normal.

What it costs

A flat monthly subscription paid in Bitcoin, and zero percentage per transaction. Whether your Shopify store does ten orders a month or ten thousand, the fee does not scale with your sales, and every satoshi your customer pays reaches your wallet.
